Georgi Georgiev is attorney-at-law, a member of the Sofia Bar Association, trustee in insolvency proceedings, included in the list at the Ministry of Justice of the persons who can be appointed by the court as official assignees in insolvency proceedings under the Commercial Law and a mediator, entered in the Unified Register of Mediators at the Ministry of justice.
He graduated with a degree in Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (2006-2011).
He has been practicing and specializing in various fields of law since 2009.
Аttorney-at-law Georgiev started his professional development as a lawyer’s assistant at a prestigious law firm (2009) and as legal adviser in one of the leading law firms of private judicial enforcers in Sofia (2010-2013). In these structures he gained his initial experience in one of the areas where there is a narrow specialization – the forcible collection of debts.
In 2013-2017 he was legal adviser at the Legal Directorate, Head office of the third largest bank in Bulgaria. There he was responsible for the restructuring and forcible collection of debts of the large corporate clients of the bank, transferred for collection to the Directorate. He had conducted numerous legal and enforcement proceedings, including over 20 insolvency proceedings against debtors of the bank. It was during this period that Lawyer Georgiev discovered his interest in insolvency proceedings, as a result of which in 2017 he appeared in a competition for trustees in insolvency held by the Ministry of Justice, to which he presented himself perfectly, and was then included in the list of trustees in insolvency proceedings who can be appointed in insolvency proceedings under the Commercial Law.
In 2017 he was registered as a attorney-at-law at the Sofia Bar Association. From that moment on, he began his private practice, including comprehensive legal services to natural and legal persons. His areas of competence include commercial and company law, labor, civil, property, family and inheritance law and administrative law. Аttorney-at-law Georgiev has advised and represented numerous corporate clients, including financial institutions, online traders, the owner of a 5-star hotel and holding structure, market leader in its field.
in addition to being attorney-at-law, Georgi Georgiev actively works on the field of insolvency as a trustee of trade companies.
Among other things, Attorney-at-law Georgiev has a contractual relationship as a credit consultant and intermediary with the largest banks in Bulgaria. As such, he assists his clients – natural and legal persons – to get the best conditions on the market when granting loans. It is important for clients to know that credit intermediation services do not increase the value of the loan, and the lawyer’s commission is not paid by the client, but by the bank granting the loan.
Аttorney-at-law Georgiev was included as an external expert under No. 2143 in the list of the Public Procurement Agency and as such can participate in committees on public procurement and procedures under the Public Procurement Act.
In 2023, Attorney-at-law Georgiev passes through certification training in mediation and on 09.03.2023 he was registered as a legally competent mediator in the Unified Register of Mediators at the Ministry of Justice under No. 20230309016. The mediator guides the parties to reach an agreement and resolve the dispute according to the the fast and optimal way, in conditions of complete confidentiality.
